揭开封严的印

1我看见羔羊揭开七印中第一印的时候，就听见四活物中的一个活物，声音如雷，说：「你来！」

2我就观看，见有一匹白马；骑在马上的，拿着弓，并有冠冕赐给他。他便出来，胜了又要胜。

3揭开第二印的时候，我听见第二个活物说：「你来！」

4就另有一匹马出来，是红的，有权柄给了那骑马的，可以从地上夺去太平，使人彼此相杀；又有一把大刀赐给他。

5揭开第三印的时候，我听见第三个活物说：「你来！」我就观看，见有一匹黑马；骑在马上的，手里拿着天平。

6我听见在四活物中似乎有声音说：「一钱银子买一升麦子，一钱银子买三升大麦；油和酒不可糟蹋。」

7揭开第四印的时候，我听见第四个活物说：「你来！」

8我就观看，见有一匹灰色马；骑在马上的，名字叫作死，阴府也随着他；有权柄赐给他们，可以用刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫、野兽，杀害地上四分之一的人。

9揭开第五印的时候，我看见在祭坛底下，有为 神的道、并为作见证被杀之人的灵魂，

10大声喊着说：「圣洁真实的主啊，你不审判住在地上的人，给我们伸流血的冤，要等到几时呢？」

11于是有白衣赐给他们各人；又有话对他们说，还要安息片时，等着一同作仆人的和他们的弟兄也像他们被杀，满足了数目。

12揭开第六印的时候，我又看见地大震动，日头变黑像毛布，满月变红像血，

13天上的星辰坠落于地，如同无花果树被大风摇动，落下未熟的果子一样。

14天就挪移，好像书卷被卷起来；山岭海岛都被挪移离开本位。

15地上的君王、臣宰、将军、富户、壮士，和一切为奴的、自主的，都藏在山洞和岩石穴里，

16向山和岩石说：「倒在我们身上吧！把我们藏起来，躲避坐宝座者的面目和羔羊的忿怒；

17因为他们忿怒的大日到了，谁能站得住呢？」

The First Seal: The White Horse

1Then I watched as the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!”

2So I looked and saw a white horse, and its rider held a bow. And he was given a crown, and he rode out to overcome and conquer.

The Second Seal: War

3And when the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!”

4Then another horse went forth. It was bright red, and its rider was granted permission to take away peace from the earth and to make men slay one another. And he was given a great sword.

The Third Seal: Famine

5And when the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” Then I looked and saw a black horse, and its rider held in his hand a pair of scales.

6And I heard what sounded like a voice from among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius,and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine.”

The Fourth Seal: Death

7And when the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!”

8Then I looked and saw a pale green horse. Its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed close behind. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill by sword, by famine, by plague, and by the beasts of the earth.

The Fifth Seal: The Martyrs

9And when the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony they had upheld.

10And they cried out in a loud voice, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge those who dwell upon the earth and avenge our blood?”

11Then each of them was given a white robe and told to rest a little while longer until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers, were killed, just as they had been killed.

The Sixth Seal: Terror

12And I watched as the Lamb opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black like sackcloth of goat hair, and the whole moon turned blood red,

13and the stars of the sky fell to the earth like unripe figs dropping from a tree shaken by a great wind.

14The sky receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place.

15Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the commanders, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and free man hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.

16And they said to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide usfrom the face of the One seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb.

17For the great day of Theirwrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?”
