耶和华恩待以色列

1这从以东的波斯拉来， 穿红衣服， 装扮华美， 能力广大， 大步行走的是谁呢？ 就是我， 是凭公义说话， 以大能施行拯救。

2你的装扮为何有红色？ 你的衣服为何像踹酒榨的呢？

3我独自踹酒榨； 众民中无一人与我同在。 我发怒将他们踹下， 发烈怒将他们践踏。 他们的血溅在我衣服上， 并且污染了我一切的衣裳。

4因为，报仇之日在我心中； 救赎我民之年已经来到。

5我仰望，见无人帮助； 我诧异，没有人扶持。 所以，我自己的膀臂为我施行拯救； 我的烈怒将我扶持。

6我发怒，踹下众民； 发烈怒，使他们沉醉， 又将他们的血倒在地上。

耶和华对以色列的良善

7我要照耶和华一切所赐给我们的， 提起他的慈爱和美德， 并他向以色列家所施的大恩； 这恩是照他的怜恤 和丰盛的慈爱赐给他们的。

8他说：他们诚然是我的百姓， 不行虚假的子民； 这样，他就作了他们的救主。

9他们在一切苦难中， 他也同受苦难； 并且他面前的使者拯救他们； 他以慈爱和怜悯救赎他们； 在古时的日子常保抱他们，怀搋他们。

10他们竟悖逆，使主的圣灵担忧。 他就转作他们的仇敌， 亲自攻击他们。

11那时，他们想起古时的日子— 摩西和他百姓，说： 将百姓和牧养他全群的人 从海里领上来的在哪里呢？ 将他的圣灵降在他们中间的在哪里呢？

12使他荣耀的膀臂在摩西的右手边行动， 在他们前面将水分开， 要建立自己永远的名，

13带领他们经过深处， 如马行走旷野， 使他们不致绊跌的在哪里呢？

14耶和华的灵使他们得安息， 仿佛牲畜下到山谷； 照样，你也引导你的百姓， 要建立自己荣耀的名。

求主怜悯帮助

15求你从天上垂顾， 从你圣洁荣耀的居所观看。 你的热心和你大能的作为在哪里呢？ 你爱慕的心肠和怜悯向我们止住了。

16亚伯拉罕虽然不认识我们， 以色列也不承认我们， 你却是我们的父。 耶和华啊，你是我们的父； 从万古以来，你名称为「我们的救赎主」。

17耶和华啊，你为何使我们走差离开你的道， 使我们心里刚硬、不敬畏你呢？ 求你为你仆人， 为你产业支派的缘故，转回来。

18你的圣民不过暂时得这产业； 我们的敌人已经践踏你的圣所。

19我们好像你未曾治理的人， 又像未曾得称你名下的人。

God’s Vengeance on the Nations

1Who is this coming from Edom,from Bozrah with crimson-stained garments?Who is this robed in splendor,marching in the greatness of His strength? “It is I, proclaiming vindication,mighty to save.”

2Why are Your clothes red,and Your garments like one who treads the winepress?

3“I have trodden the winepress alone,and no one from the nations was with Me.I trampled them in My angerand trod them down in My fury;their blood spattered My garments,and all My clothes were stained.

4For the day of vengeance was in My heart,and the year of My redemption had come.

5I looked, but there was no one to help;I was appalled that no one assisted.So My arm brought Me salvation,and My own wrath upheld Me.

6I trampled the nations in My anger;in My wrath I made them drunk and poured out their blood on the ground.”

God’s Mercies Recalled

7I will make known the LORD’s loving devotionand His praiseworthy acts,because of all that the LORD has done for us—the many good things for the house of Israel according to His great compassion and loving devotion.

8For He said, “They are surely My people,sons who will not be disloyal.” So He became their Savior.

9In all their distress, He too was afflicted,and the Angel of His Presencesaved them.In His love and compassion He redeemed them;He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

10But they rebelledand grieved His Holy Spirit.So He turned and became their enemy,and He Himself fought against them.

11Then His people remembered the days of old,the days of Moses.Where is He who brought them through the seawith the shepherds of His flock?Where is the One who setHis Holy Spirit among them,

12who sent His glorious armto lead them by the right hand of Moses,who divided the waters before themto gain for Himself everlasting renown,

13who led them through the depthslike a horse in the wilderness, so that they did not stumble?

14Like cattle going down to the valley,the Spirit of the LORD gave them rest.You led Your people this wayto make for Yourself a glorious name.

A Prayer for Mercy

15Look down from heaven and see,from Your holy and glorious habitation.Where are Your zeal and might?Your yearning and compassion for me are restrained.

16Yet You are our Father,though Abraham does not know us and Israel does not acknowledge us.You, O LORD, are our Father;our Redeemer from Everlasting is Your name.

17Why, O LORD, do You make us stray from Your waysand harden our hearts from fearing You?Return, for the sake of Your servants,the tribes of Your heritage.

18For a short while Your people possessed Your holy place,but our enemies have trampled Your sanctuary.

19We have become like those You never ruled,like those not called by Your name.
